Technology is ready and can update how we interact with elected officials. We can validate someone’s identity and allow a vote for things that come up to the politicians. The politicians can change to focus on the paperwork side of the work and the voters can engage on any given issue through immediate online voting.
I think, I am not sure, that we cannot heavily influence how voting occurs for an election, but we can use new voting methods to interact after someone is elected.
Let’s say we start a new party named “The Federation of Intelligent Beings” The purpose of this party is to engage the people that elected them for any vote or proposal. Then that politician will follow through based on the decision of their people.
Let’s finalize the ability to authenticate someone as a registered voter of a given place. Then we need a way for people to secure submit voters while validating they are who they say they are during submission of a proposal or a vote. The last item needed is a way to educate people before a request to vote on a specific issue so the representatives know which way to vote themselves.
The pieces described are already available but need to be tied together. In future posts, I will continue to discuss this concept.
